LUMINOUS 1960s\' BLUE FELT FEDORA + BOW, EMBELLISHED FEATHERS & SEQUINED VEILING
download picture
description
This is truly a brilliant royal blue felt fedora from the 1960s\' by the famous millinery Bierner Hat Company.. The round crown is surrounded by a medium width brim which is turned up at the sides and back, tied together with a large matching color grosgrain bow. There are beautiful \"shaggy\" long feathers in the same color. The feathers have been embellished with some tiny white dots (like grain) at the sides, as shown in the photos. The blue veiling that surrounds the crown is dotted with small square blue sequins. Simply stunning!
Label: MISS BIERNER
Miss Bierner hats were a popular mid-century and later line of women\'s hats, part of the larger Dallas-based Bierner Hat Company, founded by Michael Bierner, with whimsical trims like feathers, beads, and flowers, known for their quality craftsmanship and vintage charm. The \"Miss Bierner\" label is sought after by collectors for its authentic mid-century American craftsmanship and versatile, elegant designs that remain fashionable today.
Please keep in mind that you are buying a vintage hat, not new nor perfect! This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, furs, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age. Mannequin not for sale.
